Communities across Oklahoma will soon have an opportunity to apply for funding for projects that expand access to healthy foods and beverages through TSET's FY27 Built Environment Grant: Nutrition.
The grant will support construction projects that create lasting improvements to the places where Oklahomans live, learn and gather.
Funding is available for projects at farmers markets, food pantries and schools that strengthen community infrastructure and expand access to nutritious foods. Examples include refrigeration and storage improvements, water stations, community gardens, cafeteria enhancements and other built environment projects that promote healthier choices.
Eligible organizations include local governments, nonprofit organizations, tribal nations, schools, institutions of higher education and state agencies.
Application guidelines will be released Aug. 4, with applications opening Aug. 18. Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the upcoming funding opportunity and begin planning projects that address local needs through community-driven, long-lasting improvements. |
